Lush-tastic Friday #5 | Dragon's Egg Bath Ballistic

Its finally Friday. After a week consisting of what appears to be endless coursework and non-stop assesments, its finally the weekend. This week has been somewhat rather work-heavy in terms of school, therefore it brings me a great deal of joy to settle into the weekend. Despite the abundancy of work I was faced with this week, something very exciting occurred that made this week a heck of a lot more exciting. I reached 100 Bloglovin followers! I am so incredibly excited to finally be able to say this - its something I have dreamt of happening for a while. As many of you will know, my goal for the new year was to reach 100 followers, and to complete this goal before the first month has ended is something that makes me smile a lot. Thank you to each and every one of you who follow and support my blog - it means so so much to me.

Anyway - back to the task at hand. Sticking to Friday's regular festivities here on Mollie Jess Blog, today's post is another Lush-tastic Friday. So, without further ado, lets dive in.

Today's Lush-tasticness shall revolve around the Dragon's Egg bath ballistic. This was my first time trying this bath ballistic, and, I have to say - I loved it! Everything about it is just so incredible.

Upon dropping the mysterious white sphere into the water, an abundancy of white foam began to fizz from the edge of the ballistic. I'm not entirely sure what the peculiar foam was, but it felt incredibly moisturising, and made the water feel the same. Once the outer shell had completely fizzled away, an aray of orange bubbles began to disperse from the centre. This is the point I began to get excited. Lets just emphasise the word orange there. Being my favourite colour, I was a little more than pleased to watch as my bath transformed into a dreamy swirl of orange and white. The two colours contrasted to create a dreamy and somewhat rather mesmerising creation. As for the random coloured spots in the bath bomb, they simply floated on top of the water, almost like a kind of confetti. This bath bomb worked wonders for my skin, and saw a significant increase in the softness of my skin afterwards. I really did enjoy using this bath bomb, and will definitely be buying it again in the near future.

Have you ever tried the Dragon's Egg bath ballistic? Thanks for reading!

Current Favourite Brushes

As a beauty blogger and general beauty enthusiast, it is only expected that I take a high interest in all things makeup. Over the years, I have noticed I have a rather extensive love for not only makeup itself, but also makeup brushes. I seek such pleasure in buying, collecting and organising my brushes, and I therefore appear to have acuired quite a collection. As with any beauty product, I tend to swap around my faves of the bunch quite regularly, and today, I thought I would share with you all my current favourite makeup brushes.

I use an aray of different brushes on a daily basis, but I seem to find myself always reaching for these 6 in particular. I do use other brushes in my daily routine, however I chose to only talk about the following. The lineup consists of;

Real Techniques Buffing Brush
Real Techniques Contour Brush
Zoeva 228 Crease Brush
Zoeva 234 Shader Brush
Zoeva 227 Soft Definer Brush
Zoeva 317 Wing Liner Brush

Recently, I have found myself reaching for these particular brushes, in a desperate bid to make my makeup look half-decent when under a somewhat miniscule time limit in the mornings. They are seriously a great bunch of brushes for those rushed-of-your-feet kind of days, and, well, for any day really.

The buffing brush is what I would class as an 'all rounder'. Its versatility makes this brush such a staple brush in anyone's collection; not to mention its high quality, soft bristles. It blends makeup seamlessly across the skin, and ensures your skin is left with a smooth and flawless finish. It can be used with both cream and powder products, meaning your foundation, concealer & powder can all be done with one brush. You could use it for blush/bronzer too, however, I feel that would cause a few too many colours to settle amongst the bristles. After all, who wants streaks of pink through their foundation? Any how, this makeup brush is fabulous, and can be purchased as a part of the 'Real Techniques Core Collection' makeup brush pack. As well as two other brushes, the next contender is also included along side the Buffing brush...

Its the Real Techniques Contour brush. This petite little beauty is practically perfect in every way. Its small, tapered shape make contouring as easy as can be. It also works a dream for applying blush and particularly highlighter. I love this brush, and feel as though I have finally hit jackpot in terms of finding a staple contour brush.

These next brushes all belong to a brand that I am quite frankly in love with. Its Zoeva. Its no secret that their brushes are of an excellent quality, and I definitely would state them as one of my fave brush brands. I honestly adore their brushes so much, and thoroughly enjoy using them. The first brush of theirs that I have been loving lately, goes by the name of the 228 Crease brush. This brush is the best blending brush I have ever tried. Its bristles are so incredibly soft, and its ability to blend eyeshadow is even more incredible. Its tapered, gentle bristles make blending an easy job for anybody - no matter how experienced. I love it!

The 234 Smokey Shader brush is another love of mine from Zoeva. Its basically your regular flat shader brush, however, an extremely good flat shader brush. Its soft bristles are of such a perfect density, enabling you to pack on eye shadow to create a flawless look to an intensity of your choice. It definitely has the ability to give an opaque, colour-packed look, but can also be used with alighter  hand in order to give you something a little on the softer side.

The 227 brush is quite an exciting one actually. It is the most amazing dupe for the MAC 217 brush. I have compared the two and could barely distinguish the difference. In fact, the Zoeva one has much softer bristles. For around a 1/3 of the price of the MAC one, you really do get a lot of bang for your buck with this brush. I personally love it for blending eyeshadow through the crease, and feel it allows you a great deal of control over where your eyeshadow goes. Again, the density is just right, and it fits through the crease of the eye perfectly, giving a seamless and flawless finish.

Lastly, but by no means least, its the Zoeva 317 Wing Liner brush. Despite its name, I personally don't use this brush for eyeliner, but in fact to fill in my eyebrows. Never before have I discovered an angled brush that fills in my eyebrows the way this one does. Normally, I find angled brushes to be way too thick and dense, meaning I end up with harsh and patchy looking brows. However, this little beauty effortlessly allows you to apply an even amount of product throughout the brow, giving you a soft yet defined look. Its bristles are flexible enough to allow a soft application, yet dense enough to allow control and precision.

I adore all of the brushes mentioned, and would urge you to give them a try should the opportunity ever arise.

There are always so many brushes that I make a claim of adoration towards, and recently, this bunch just so happen to have won over my makeup brush heart (is that a thing? It is now!) - hopefully I did them justice in my little ramblings above.

Thank you for reading everyone!

One last thing; Please do follow my Blog on Bloglovin - its a great way to keep up with new posts and updates! I am oh-so-close to my New Years goal of 100 followers, and it would make me so verry pleased if I was able to reach it this soon. Thank you to all who follow and support my blog - it means a lot!

The Liebster Award

Hello everyone, happy Monday! You may be surprised to see that todays post is not a Magnificent Monday. I've chosen to have a week off with this feature, in order to post something a little different. Recently, I was nominated by the lovely Eloise, from 'Eloise's Diary' for the Liebster award. I love her blog and was super happy to see she had chosen me as one of the nominees. Check out her blog here, and her Liebster award post here.

If like me at first, you are feeling a spot of confusion as to what on earth the Liebster Award actually is, then fear not, I've put together a little explanation of what this award is all about. The Liebster award was created in order to allow newish/smaller beauty bloggers get to know each other. I believe it is of German origin, as the word 'Liebster' means 'dearest', 'sweetest', or 'kindest' in German. There is no materialistic award, and well, no award at all really. Just an honorary award, with no real strings attached. It is definitely a huge compliment to be nominated for the award, as it means your blog is loved greatly by the nominator. Whilst it may seem a chore to you to go out of your way to post something a little different, it is honestly worth joining in on, and will provide you and your blog with plenty of benefits. It is a great way to put your blog out there and get involved within the blogger community, as it is created for those with 200 followers or less. You are given 11 questions to answer, in which you are able to let people get to know you a little better.

Without further ado, lets get straight into the post. The rules are as following;

1. You have to link back to the blogger you were nominated by.
2. You have to answer the 11 questions asked by the blogger you were nominated by.
3. You then have to pick 11 nominees with under 200 followers to answer your questions (it cannot be the person who nominated you)
5. You must tell the nominees that they have been nominated by you.

Eloise has selected a great bunch of questions for me to answer, so here we go!

1) What is your favourite artist/band?

There is simply no way I can choose one! I love Beyoncè, Ariana Grande, One Direction, Mumford & Sons, Frank Ocean, Imogen Heap, India Arie & The Beatles

2) What is one thing you can’t leave the house without?

My phone & lip balm

3) What is the best thing about blogging to you?

I am a huge fan of both writing and photography, therefore I get such pleasure out of having my own little corner of the internet where I am able to put both of these hobbies to good use and practise. It is such a rewarding thing to do, too. I always feel so happy and smiley when I get a kind comment, or reach a milestone in followers, page views etc. It brings a great sense of pride and makes you feel as though all the hard work and dedication has paid off.
Blogging is truly the best!

4) What is your favourite colour?

Again - there are multiple!

Pink, Orange, Mint Green, Pale blue and Red. A few too many?

5) What is one random fact about yourself?

love Disney. Not even on a regular scale. I am full on obsessed. I love everything about it and it is something I truly do love. The films, the characters, the songs, and just Disney in general.

6) If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

California. Sunshine, beaches, shopping and most of all - Disneyland.

7) Why did you start your blog?

Well, after spending the majority of my time watching beauty gurus on Youtube, and reading blogs, I decided it was about time I involved myself within the beauty community. I simply adore all things beauty and fashion, and wanted to express these passions in some way. It was also partly down to an afternoon of boredom one day in February, and it was a kind of 'well, what time is better than now?' kind of moment, and Mollie Jess Blog was born.

8) If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Oh wow. So hard to choose! Either Beyoncè's visual album or Ariana Grande's 'Yours Truly'. I also adore all 3 of One Direction's albums.

9) If you had to change your name, what would you change it to?

Probably Daisy - I adore that name!

10) Do you have any bad habits?

The reluctancy to embrace change. I begrudge making changes to what I'm used to, and I guess I would consider it a bad habit.

11) What is your favourite month?

Definitely December. The festivity and joy makes me smile a heck of a lot!

So, that conclude's the answers to the question's Eloise asked me. Now time to present to you the questions I have rumbled up for my nominees.

1) Who is your style icon?
2) What is your fave thing about blogging?
3) What are your top 3 favourite blogs?
4) What is your favourite place you have been?
5) Where would be your dream holiday?
6) If you could meet one celebrity, who would it be?
7) Fave beauty brand?
8) Favourite places to shop for clothes?
9) Favourite film?
10) What would be your dream job?
11) What is/was your favourite subject at school?

Now for the nominees I have selected to join in on the Liebster Award. (In no particular order)

1) Eden from Vintage Vogue

2) Caitlin from Beau et Belle

3) Ally from Ally's Fashions

4) Katie from Katie Joslin

5) Rachel from Rachel Coco

6) Runzhi from 500 days of Makeup

7) Amy from Blending Beauty

8) Caitlin from Oceanic Stars

9) Lara from Looks Like Lara

10)Abbie from Dainty Beauty

I love all of the blogs mentioned and you should definitely check them out!

I apologize for the slightly more random post today however it is something I wanted to get involved in. Hopefully you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it! Thank you all for reading!

New Lipstick Holders | Acrylic Storage

It's no mystery that all those of the beauty world love a bit of acrylic storage. I mean, every girl and her mother owns at least some type of acryclic makeup storage, judging by the acrylic-crazy makeup collection videos on YouTube. Recently, I set myself the target of re-organising/tidying my makeup stash. After watching endless makeup collection videos, I noticed that the acrylic lipstick holders were popping up repeadtedly in many of the videos. Not only did they look like a practical and tidy way to store lipsticks, but they also looked somewhat modern and a little funky. So, without hesitation, I headed on over to Amazon and ordered myself 2 acrylic lipstick holders - each capable of holding 24 lipsticks. I am the (not-so-proud) owner of a rather extensive lipstick collection, and so I ordered 2.

When these pretty little organisers landed on my doorstep, I very quickly stripped them of their packaging and placed them on my dressing table ready to be filled with copious amounts of lipsticks. Of course, as a true blogger would, my instant reaction was 'I have to blogabout  these!' When do I ever do anything without my inner-blogger making an appearance? So, alas, here I am, sharing with you my brand spanking new lipstick storage. I get so excited over new storage, which basically pinpoints the general root of my day-to-day excitements. Oh what an exciting life I lead. Nevertheless, I felt the need to share this storage with all of you lovely readers, and, if storage is something that doesn't quite float your boat as it floats mine, then, I'm sorry. But hopefully you will get some enjoyment out of this rambly little post.

There's just something so satisfying about finding a good organisation system for all your beauty bits, and, if your collection is anything like mine, finding apt storage can be anything but a walk in the park. So, on the rare occasion that you do manage to find an affordable, practical, and stylish
organisation method, it can bring a heck of a lot of joy and smiles to your inner beauty heart.

I really do love the way these little acryclic holders look, and they display all of my lispticks in such a practical way, that I will never have to root around beneath masses of makeup for my fave lippy again. I would highly recommend you give these a try if, like me, you like to keep your makeup somewhat organised. I paid £2.89 for each of mine, and around £1.50 for postage, costing a mere £7.77 in total. I basically searched for 'acrylic lipstick holder' on amazon, and scrolled through and bought the cheapest one I could see. They are all pretty much the same, however if you specifically want to order from the same seller as I did, then here is the link;

I also imagine you can find them on eBay, and probably a lot of other online or even offline stores.

Have you ever tried organising your lipsticks in this way? Do you have any good little makeup storage tips? Thanks for reading!

Lush-tastic Friday #4 | Bombardino Bath Ballistic

Here we are again, gathered together in this little space of the internet, where I like to ramble each Friday about my love for an aray of different Lush goodies. It is good fun, I must say. I simply love this Friday feature (mainly because it gives me am excuse to spend half of my life in the bath). Today marks the day of the last festive bath product appearance (until next Christmas) in the Lush-tastic Friday series. Yes, yes, I know - Christmas was over and done with a month ago - so why am I only just wrapping up the festivities? Well, I purchased a heck of a lot of Chistmas bath bombs in the sale and have been bathing like a crazy lady in an attempt to use them all. However, as of next week, I shall be reviewing products from Lush's regular line-up. But, for today, give a warm welcome to this lil' cutie pie - the Bombardino bath ballistic. May I quickly add, before we get into the swing of things, how adorable is this bath bomb. I know what your thinking; 'woah, step away crazy lady!' But worry not, I'm not a strange lady who likes to admire the 'adorable-ness' of bath bombs, I just genuinely find this bath bomb very cute. Like a little puppy or something of the sort, you know? Right, enough of the aimless babbling, I'm going to get on with the bit we are all here for - the review. Enjoy!

Upon dropping this lil fella into yout bath, your eyes are greeted with a sight that is somewhat beautiful to all bath lovers, everywhere. It fizzes like a beauty, rapidly producing an explosion of yellow and white. It continues to fizz until eventually, all of bombardino's colour and contents are mixed amongst a sweet-scented, vibrant yellow bath. I found there to be a small white part of the ballisitic left once everything else had stopped fizzing. This fizzed at a slower pace, giving off white foamy sud-type-thingy ma bobs. As you may have noticed, Bombardino is the owner of two little chocolate eyes (I am still baffled as to whether these are real, edible chocolate or not) which seem to just float on the bath until they gradually melt away amongst the water. As aforementioned, the smell is somewhat rather sweet. A very nice kind of sweet, too. It resembles the smell of sweeties and chocolate and cakes and all things nice. Not a bad scent to wallow in your bathroom for a bit, really. I personally adore the scent, even though sweet scents are usually far from my cup of tea.

I highly enjoyed using this bath bomb, and am rather gutted that Bombardino won't be making an appearance throughout the Lush stores until next Christmas. Am I the only one who struggles to accept the fact that Christmas and everything that comes with it (eg Lush bath products) has to come to an end. I simply cannot wait almost a whole year before I can use this lil guy again. But, hey ho, it is what it is. Hopefully you enjoyed this post today - have you ever tried Bombardino? What did you think?

Magnificent Monday #5 | Give a Little

Well, it's back again. As much as we had hoped the weekend would last for an eternity, and that Monday was yet still far ahead of us, it wasn't. It's here once again to do all it can to drain us of all the energy and enthusiasm that remains from the weekend. But, you know how things work around here. This little feature I write, that goes by the name of 'Magnificent Monday's' has been putnin place to ensure you have a positive kickstart to your week. So, wave goodbye to those Monday blues, and clear your mind of its negativity, ready to be positively prepared for the week ahead. This weeks theme is 'Give a little'.

Now, if you are feeling slightly baffled by the inquisitve title I have just presented you with, then listen in. What I mean by 'give a little' is, in simpler terms, generosity and giving to others. I'm sure you have heard it many times before, but I honestly think this topic is such a nice thought to keep in your mind throughout the week, and it will help you to not only make yourself feel happier, but it will benefit others, too.

Now, don't get me wrong, a little gift or two is highly exciting to receive every once in a while, but for me, nothing makes me feel happier than making others smile. Meaning, the gift can be anything. Therefore, I think giving is just as great, in fact better, than receiving. When I say gift, I don't necassarily mean a materialistic/physical present, a gift can be anything. Whether it be a helping hand to someone who needs it, a favour to help out your friend, or giving advice/positive words to someone who is down. Giving is all about doing what you can to help others and to make them smile. Please, do not feel that in order to do these things, you have to spend big bucks on a prestigous gift (however if you feel that is the gift you wish to give to someone, then go for it) simply just go out of your way to put them first do a little something for them that will make them smile. Just to let them know they are loved. It's about putting others before yourself, and trust me, you will feel the benfit of it when you know you have done something to help someone or make them smile.

This week, I want you to try your best to do as many generous things ad you can, and help out as many people as you possibly can. However, it isn't about the quantity, it's about the meaning behind it. It's no good helping someone out if you don't really want to do it, or trying to do something good for someone when you don't actually feel like it. If an act of generosoty is done with the wrong frame of mind, it will be sensed as insincere by both the recipeiver and the giver. So, when you do generous acts, ensure you do it because you want to, and because it truly is in your best interest to help that person/make them happy. Do it because you genuinely care, and that you aren't just doing it to add to the total of 'generous' things you have done. Approach this week with a selfless attitude, and do little random acts of generosity throughout the 7 days ahead, putting others first before yourself as much as you can.

One more quote I wish to share with you all, is one from the lady herself. Audrey Hepburn. I love her dearly and I especially love this quote of hers. "As you grow older you will discover you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and one for helping others."
I love this quote and feel as though it is a lovely reminder that not all gifts have to be expensive, a simple helping hand can mean the world to someone who needs it.

Hopefully you will keep this topic in mind this week, and I do hope it was an enjoyable read for you all to start off the week with. Thanks for reading!

A Little Splurge | YSL Lipstick

A beauty lover's desire for new makeup never fades, and despite the wide aray of good quality, low priced beauty bits available at the drugstore, there's just something oh-so-fabulous about splurging on high end makeup. I have been lusting over a YSL lipstick for a while now, and alas, I couldn't wait any longer. So, this week's wages came along with me to Debenhams, and were swiftly spent on a YSL Rouge VoluptĂ© Shine lipstick. I must admit, I do not regret waving goodbye to £24 of my hard earned cash in the slightest, as this lippie has brought me more than a great deal of joy.

As many of you are aware, I have a strong love for Orange lipsticks (and the colour in general, really). Therefore, it will come as no surprise to you that the colour I picked up was an orange. Well, a coral to be precise. I figured that since Spring is approaching, it would be nice to re-vamp my lipstick collection a little, with a few more pastel-bright lipsticks. Vampy reds and purples are great for Winter, but in the warmer months, you simply can't beat a pretty pink, or a coral. The shade I purchased was 'Corail Intuitive'. And yes, the 'i' in 'Coral' is supppsed to be there. I am clueless as to why!

The colour itself is absolutely gorgeous - think a peachy-coral with slight pink undertones. As it is a Rouge VoluptĂ© Shine lipstick, it only makes sense that the lipstick is a rather glossy one. It gives your lips a healthy looking shine, brightening up any regular makeup look. It is also incredibly moisturising on the lips, and feels so soft and creamy.

I absolutely adore this lipstick and am incredibly happy I have it by my side in preparation for the upcoming warmer months. Have you ever tried a YSL lipstick? What are your fave shades?

Thanks for reading lovelies!

Lush-tastic Friday #3 | Candy Mountain Bubble Bar

A week has passed and Friday is once again upon us (hurrah!) Friday's make me smile in general - end of the working week, start of the weekend, a night off from doing school work; the list of positivities that Friday brings is endless. But for me, one of the most exciting things Friday has to offer is putting together and uploading a new installment of my 'Lush-tastic Friday' feature here on my blog. As mentioned in my previous Lush-tastic Friday, throughout January I am trying to use up my Festive bath products from Lush, therefore I will be reviewing those up until Lush-tastic Friday #5, when we will either be at the start or about to start the month of February. (As you can see I like to plan my posts some weeks in advance).

Today I will be sharing with you my thoughts and experience with the Candy Mountain Bubble Bar. So, without further ado/irrelevant rambling, let's get into the post.

For those of you who don't know, Bubble Bar's work slightly different to Bath Ballisitcs. Rather than dropping the sweet smelling little beauty straight into your bath water, you crumble it under running water. As you crumble, bubbles begin to develop in your bath, resulting in a sweetly scented, bubbles galore bath. You can use half of one, or a full one, depending on how eager you are to be efficient and save money. However, I quite frankly couldn't be bothered to start wrapping up a damp bath bomb in a paper bag, and so I decided to embrace the fact my bath was just going to be floating with copious amounts of bubbles - and I'm not complaining! Bubbles make an enjoyable and relaxing bath, and along with the sweet and delicious smell of Lush's range of Bubble Bar's, you are guranteed a rather lovely bath.

This particular bath bomb fills your tub with foamy, soft bubbles, amd disperses a pastel pink colour throughout your water. It's sweet and almost edible-worthy scent fills your bath room with a lovely and sweet aroma, setting a happy & relaxing mood for your bath. It smell resembles Sniw Fairy, well, is exactly the same as Snow Fairy. So, if you are a fan of the shower gel itself, then this bubble bar is definitely for you. This cute little pink and white wonder leaves the slightest shimmer in your bath water, which I personally love. I am all for anything girly, therefore a pastel pink, bubbly, shimmery bath was my idea of perfection.

I highly enjoyed using this bath bomb and would most definitely recommend it to anybody who wanted an all-girly, all-sweet kind of bath. It left my skin feeling soft and silky, just as all Lush bath products. My skin mildly lingered with the scent of this bubble bar for a long while after the bath, which resulted in me constantly sniffing my arms for the rest if the night. After using this little bath wonder, I popped out to Lush the following weekend and bought myself another. I think it is safe to say I am more than a fan of this bubble bar, and am rather excited for the end of the year when the beauty itself pops back iut onto the Lush shelves.

That's all for this weeks installment of Lush-tastic Friday's. Hopefully you are enjoying this feature as much as I am - let me know what you think! Have you ever tried this Candy Mountain bubble bar? Thanks for reading!

Magnificent Monday #4 | Positivity & Being Happy

Why hello there Monday - the day of struggle for many. You know how things go, the alarm clock rings, you lethargically arise from your ever-so-comfy bed, you half-heartedly throw on some clothes and struggle to keep open your eyes as you sip your much-needed morning coffee etc etc. We all need a little cheering up on a Monday, which is why Magnificent Monday's was invented. So, turn that frown upside down and get ready to change the outlook you take on this particular Monday, for today's theme is Positivity & Being Happy. It's time to get positive, so pack away your negativities and prepare for a day of positivity and happiness. Here we go!

Everybody has bad days. Days were your mind just seems to set into a frame of negativity - the type that can't be shifted. It is only a natural human emotion  to feel a little down, however, if we allow ourselves to become stuck in this mindset, we end up dragging a permanent 'rain cloud' around with us. Meaning, we end up feeling persistently gloomy and negative. It is important we ensure to try and stay in a positive mindset whenever possible, in order to make the most out of day-to-day situations. Obviously, covering every aspect of this topic in one blog post is difficult, and believe me, if I was able to do so, I would go on forever about this topic.

It is oh-so-important to smile. It sounds so vague and we hear it all the time, but the importance of being genuinely happy and smiling as often as you can is huge. By choosing to take a positive outlook on  day-to-day situations, you will naturally boost your mood, and others' moods around you.

It is far too often that I notice people being negative, and sometimes I wish I could just go around throwing little bags of positivity to all. I personally hate to see people upset or in a bad mood, and I always try my very best to cheer people up when they are feeling this way. I personally always try my best to smile, and be happy, although obviously this isn't the case 100% of the time. I understand that to be happy and jolly all the time isn't possible, but I definitely think you should always try your best to overlook negativity and radiate positivity, as I can gurantee it will make your life a lot more fun.

Next time you think to yourself 'I'm in a poopy mood today' or 'I'm having such a bad day', I want you to rethink. Just think about whether you want to enjoy your day and be happy, or spend the day feeling down in the dumps and gloomy. Do you want to be able to smile and laugh with your friends, or sit their miserably missing out on the good times because you opted for negativity? To avoid having to make this decision in the first place, try waking up happy. By this, I mean, wake up and tell yourself 'Today I choose happy'. Or 'Today is going to be a good day'.

This brings me on to a little something I wanted to incorporate into this post. I wanted to share with you all a new app I have discovered recently, which I am loving. It goes by the name 'Instavation', and was designed by the ever so lovely Dana, who writes a rather wonderful blog. She also designs blog designs, which you can have a little browse through on her website. Here is her link, go and show her blog some love; www.thewonderforest.com

The idea behind Instavation is that you create your own little picture quotes. You can select a photo from your camera roll, and then choose from one of the many ready-made overlay quotes to put onto the image. There are a whole abundancy of positive little quotes to choose from; have a look at a few I created whilst having a play around on the app.

Not to mention that the app is completely free, with extra in-app purchases available if you desire a few more overlays to use. Download it for free here;

That brings Magnificent Monday #4 to a close. Thank you for reading and remember; think positive! Go through this week with a positive mindset and smile your way through each and every day. Speak soon!

Additions to my Obsession | New Lipsticks

As many of you may be aware, I have a rather on-going love with both orange and red lipstick. I simply adore each of them, and find they add a little chic to any makeup look. As my lips are constantly lacquered with a shade of orange or red, it is only common knowledge to presume I am constantly on the look out for newbies to add to the extensive collection. This is completely accurate, and my radar is always on high alert for new shades of orange and red lipsticks. For Christmas, I received two new lipsticks. Let me give you a moment to predict the colours of these lipsticks...

Yes, you got it. An orange and a red. Surprise surprise. I was kindly gifted a MAC lipstick in the shade 'Dangerous', as well as a Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet lipstick - number 317. I am highly grateful for each of them and have been gaining great pleasure from flaunting these two lipstick wonders on my lips over the past few weeks. As with all of my beauty faves, it is only fair I share them with you - obviously. Let's take a closer look at the lippies at hand.

MAC's Dangerous is a firey orange colour, rearing the lower end of the orange scale and almost being a red. The pigmentation of this lipstick wows me beyond belief, as well as the incredible staying power. The colour lasts on my lips for ages, with only a couple of touch ups needed to ensure the colour is looking as full as it can at all times. It has a matte finish, which I personally do like. However, if you prefer a glossier lip, then this lipstick pairs excellently with the Revlon Colourburst lip gloss in the shade 'Sizzle Canicule'. I love the versatility of this lipstick as it co-ordinates well with the trends of both the colder and the warmer months.
I have my two rather lovely best friends to thank for this lipstick, Caitlin and Eden. They were ever so kind to gift this to me at Christmas and clearly have very high skills when it comes to present picking - you both know me all too well. They each have beauty blogs, and I would highly appreciatr it if you could head on over and show their blogs some love;

The Chanel lipstick was a gift from my parents this Christmas, and I am extremely grateful for their generosity. I would class the colour of this lippie as a 'classic red' - the type every girl needs in her makeup collection. Its creamy, moisturising texture and high pigmentation make this lipstick a dream to apply, and leave your lips looking full, with a high shine. Unlike the MAC one, this lipstick has a shinier finish, and is very mousturising on the lips. The packaging is also somewhat rather beautiful, as with everything from Chanel. Ever so elegant & classy.

I adore both of these lipsticks greatly, and  recommend each of them in all aspects - whether it be colour, formula, consistency or quality. Each are excellent.

Hopefully, these two new little beauties will fulfill my orange/red desires for a while. What are your favourite colours to wear on your lips?

Thanks for reading!
