Lush-tastic Friday #1 | Father Christmas Bath Ballistic

What is this I say? A brand new Friday feature on my blog? Well, what is there to say - I do love a good series! Welcome to  the first of hopefully many 'Lush-tastic Friday's'. As you may or may not be aware, I am starting a new series on my blog were every Friday I shall share with you a demo & a review of a Lush bath product. I am incredibly excited for this series and look forward to all of the Friday fun that is to come. 

For post number one of the series, Father Christmas is paying us a visit! Not the real one with the long beard and big red coat, I'm afraid. He was a little busy at the workshop today. But hey ho, there's always next week. I know what you're thinking "a Christmas bath bomb!? But Christmas was last week!?" Yes, yes - I know. But I picked up a bunch of Christmas bath bombs in the sale at Lush - and so I thought for the month of January I would review festive products. Hopefully this isn't a problem as at least you will be able to pick up the ones that tickle your fancy at a reduced price, as they usually keep the Christmas products on sale for a while. Anyway, on with the important bit. 

His beardy face dissolves into a gentle pink fizz, creating a small and pinkish explosion of colour. Once the outer layer has completely dissolved, a green inner core is revealed. This immediately starts to fizz away, dispersing a whole new element of colour throughout the tub. The pink colour completely fades, leaving you with with a completely green tub of water. The smell is somewhat wonderful. If you ask me, I would say it has all the smells of Christmas blended into one. The most defined smell amongst the bunch is definitely citrus - particularly a sort of spiced orange scent. However I feel as though it smells slightly sweet at the same time. 

Never did I imagine this bath bomb to be so beneficial to my skin. I was left in complete shock at how much amazing-ness this little bearded bath bomb did to my skin. Whilst in the bath, my skin felt instantly softer, and I could really feel the difference in moisture in my skin. Once I got out of the bath, my skin continued to maintain this moisture, and felt incredibly soft and smooth.

In all honesty, I adore this bath ballistic, and have already picked up another in the 50% off sale (boom). I am extremely excited to use this citrussy wonder again, and would urge you to give it a try for yourself. It made me feel extremely festive, and left me feeling relaxed and soothed in preparation for a peaceful night's sleep.
