OOTD #1 | Gingerbread Jumper & Buckle Boots

In yesterday's post, we discussed resolutions and goals for the new year. I stated that I would like to include more fashion posts here on my blog, such as OOTD's (outfit of the day's). So, as promised, here is the very first OOTD here on Mollie Jess Blog - I hope you enjoy!

If you have taken a browse through Topshop recently, I am sure you will have seen the red gingerbread man jumper that  has been floating around the store for a while now. I have longed after the cutesy statement jumper for ages, and was lucky enough to receive it for Christmas. I was definitely very happy and excited to open this on Christmas morning, and couldn't wait to put it on. I have tried styling it in a few different ways, and today, I am going to show you my favourite way to incorporate this jumper into a warm, wintery outfit.

If there is ever a possibility to incorporate a collar into an outfit, you can gurantee I shall do it. I adore collars and am almost always wearing one. Under my gingerbread jumper, I am wearing a fairly thin, black jumper from Primark with a pretty, detailed white collar. I think it adds a while new element of girly-ness to the outfit.  

Black leggings are my personal favourite bottoms to wear with every outift. I find them to be the comfy and practical for day-to-day activities. The versatility of them is very handy as well, as they can easily be dressed up, or dressed down. This particular pair are from Topshop. Whilst Topshop leggings are on the pricier side compared to some places, they are definitely worth the extra pennies in my opinion. I find them to be of an extremely good, thick quality - meaning they last so much longer. Therefore, the extra few quid I have to fork for them doesn't bother me too much.

Buckled boots are definitely on-trend this season. Mine are from Topshop, and I love them a lot. They are of an amazing, sturdy quality and go with everything. They are black, and suede, which I personally love. I paired them with a pair of frilly black socks from Topshop, which, again, give the outfit a cute and girly look.
