Not only am I a lover of NARS, but I also have a strong form of adoration towards eyeshadow palettes. So, needless to say, as soon as I spied a new eyeshadow palette on the NARS website, it was a no-brainer as to whether or not I needed it. (Perhaps wanted would be a better word... Want... Need... I'm pretty sure they mean the same thing when it comes to NARS). Luckily my lust for this palette arose with perfect timing, coinciding perfectly with the festive season. So, being the kind ol' chappy that he is, Father Christmas very generously put his elves to work and left this NARS beauty beneath my Christmas tree.
The name of the palette is 'Ride up to the Moon'. It includes six NARS eyeshadows, ranging from neutrals to golds to smokey colours. It is such a versatile palette, and covers all of the eyeshadow needs you could possibly have, with 4 shimmer colours and 2 matte. Each of them finely milled to create a high pigmentation, these shadows are of an outstanding quality. They are so easily blendable are have incredible staying power.
The shades in the palette are; (Top row Left to right, bottom row left to right)
Argentina | A shimmery, yellow-toned yet very neutral colour, with hints of gold shimmer.
Isolde | A bright, shimmery gold with orange under-tones.
Night Porter | A matte, deep green colour.
Biarritz | A matte, cream-white colour.
Fez | A shimmery mid-brown, with flecks of golden shimmer.
Cordura | A shimmery, deep grey/dusty black.
Each of the colours included in this handy little six-piece palette are perfect for this time of year, however a couple of the gold-toned shades would also work a dream in summer. I have fallen in love with this palette and an highly impressed by the quality of NARS eyeshadows. I definitely think this palette would work for everyone, regardless of eye colour or skintone. In my eyes, I would say it is the perfect palette for travelling, too. With colours suitable for creating warm toned, neutral, or smokey eyes.
I hope you enjoyed this post, and hopefully you are all as excited as me that I have finally got back into the reviews again, as my blog has been a little lacking of beauty reviews over the festive period. Let me know of your fave NARS products below. Thanks for reading!
