Chanel Glossimer Lip Gloss | 166 Amour

Well, I splurged again. I really do need to learn to steer away from those ever-so-irresistable high end makeup counters. I go, I swatch, I swoon, I buy. As simple as that. There's just something so special about high end makeup that I, for some reason, find it too hard to resist. This week, I somehow ended up at the Chanel counter, and slowly but surely found myself in a deep conversation of persuasion with the assisstant. Then, bam. I somehow walked away with a new lip gloss. I can most definitely say I feel very happy with my new purchase, and have fallen somewhat into a deep trance of adoration with my new little lippie.

As always, its an orange shade. Its almost a little too predictable now, isn't it? Orange, orange, orange. There's no denying I own a fair few items of the shade, but, I just love the colour. This lip gloss is more of a coral I would say. It does show up rather pinky on the pictures, but it is a little more peach-toned in real life. Anyway, it is a coral-peach colour, and has vast ammounts of shimmer, prettily-scattered amongst the product. I'm not normally one for a whloe lot of shimmer, but this is an exception. When on the lips, it's delicate particles of shimmer distribute evenly across the lips, giving a wonderful glow and a slight iridescence to the lips. This also makes your teeth look a little whiter, which is always a brucy bonus with any lip product. The one tting about this gloss that cintinues to amaze me, os the formula. It lasts so long on my lips, yet doesn't feel overly sticky or gloopy. It's smooth, moisturising and has an amazing staying power, therefore, I think its safe to say it gets a thumbs up on the formula front. It doesn't really have a distinctive taste, making it a pleasant gloss to wear. No nasty taste, or over-powering sweet scent. Its just a very lovely colour, with a very lovely formula - what's not to love? (Possibly the price tag of £21... But, then again, for a luxurious high end product, it is expected).

Argh! Apologies for the out of focus shot.. So annoying.

I can't quite express how wonderfully gorgeous this gloss is, and I am so happy it has filled a spot in my makeup stash. I can tell it is going to be making a vast amount of appearances on my lips in the near future, particularly with Spring on its way.

Thanks for reading!
