I popped a few of my eyeshadow brushes into this smaller glass jar, to give you a feel of how it looks. This jar is a curry paste jar that I have (very) thoroughly washed out. Reusing and recycling glass jars is a great idea, as not only is it jolly good for the environment, it also means you can store your brushes in a cheap yet effective way. Just to add a little more pizzazz to the jar, I tied some polka dot ribbon around the rim and secured it in a bow at the front. I simply adore anything with a bow on it, and I think it adds a super cute and girly touch to my dressing table. These cute little DIY jars can be used to store so many things, be it makeup brushes, toothbrushes, hair combs, or even sweeties if you're letting your sweet tooth take control. I love how these jars look and will definitely be collecting more from my kitchen over the next few weeks to make more.
The next jar was one I bought ready made, which could be more suited to you if DIY's aren't really your thing. I actually received this as a Christmas present, and I believe it was from our local garden centre. It has a bark-like coating around the outside of the jar, with two little heart shaped gaps at the front. The red and white polka dot bow gives a very Minnie Mouse-esque to the jar, which, as a Disney lover, makes me rather happy. It also has a shiny red heart charm threaded onto the ribbon. Bigger jars like this one work a dream for storing face brushes, as they tend to have bigger handles, thus requiring bigger storage. If you're a person with a creative initiative, then I'm pretty sure you could create a jar on the fancier side of things just like this one.
I love finding cute ways to store my brushes, and really am very fond of these little jars. What's your favourite way to store makeup brushes? Thanks for reading!
This is adorable! My makeup brush storage is vet similar, although the ribbon on my jar is just plain red :) x
