A Visit to Germany | Cologne Christmas Markets

As you may or may not be aware, I recently took a trip to Cologne, Germany, for a little festive getaway. I spent most of last week enjoying the wonders Cologne and its surrounding area had to offer, and, in typical blogger style, I made sure I took an abundancy of snaps. So many snaps, in fact, that I am having to share them with all you lovely readers in two separate blog posts. One post with photos from the Cologne Christmas markets, and one with photos from the Lindt Chocolate factory. (I also visited Fantasialand theme park, but did not have my camera with me on that day to avoid damage/loss, however the festive lights and decorations they had there were truly mesmerising...) So, without further ado, here are a few of my favourite photos from my visit to the Cologne Christmas Markets... Enjoy!

The Cathedral over-looking the markets was absolutely breath-taking... Seriously amazing.

This was probably my favourite stall at the market; lots of little hand-crafted, Christmassy-scented decorations. The lady who presumably owned it was also rather lovely.

I was rather fascinated by the Cathedral... You wouldn't believe how tall it actually is!

Out-of-focus, twinkling fairy lights? Yes please!

For all you fellow fairy light lovers out there, the markets were probably a pretty close match to heaven... So many twinkling lights!

I rest my case... Lights, lights, and more lights!

Shoutout to the blurred photo-bomber in the right hand corner...

This hot chocolate was amazing! And, as a brucy bonus, you get to keep the super cute little mug it comes in. Hurray!

Just as you thought all the lights couldn't look any better...

We also took a wander through the Cologne highstreets, and came across this huge & rather amazing deparment store... Does it not remind anybody else of the film 'Elf'!?

Batch number one of Germany photos complete, batch number two on its way very soon... I hope you enjoyed this little sneak peak into my recent adventure. Don't forget to look out for my second group of photos within the next few days! Thank you ever so much for reading!
