Winterlicious Treats #1 | Malteaser Hot Chocolate

Not so long ago, I introduced you guys to an upcoming series that would feature on my blog, known as the 'Winterlicious Treats' series. Today, I will be sharing the first post from the series with all you lovely readers, and I hope you enjoy it.

Without further ado, lets get this Malteaser Hot Chocolate recipe started!

1 | Gather your ingredients
You will need: Milk, Malteaser hot chocolate mix, whipped cream, and Malteasers.

2 | Select a mug of your choice
I went with my Minnie mouse mug, as I'm sure we are all aware of my love of Disney.

3 | Heat the milk
If your mug is microwave safe, like mine, then pour an adequate amount of milk into your mug and place it in the microwave for around 1 minute 30 seconds, or for however long you desire.
If your mug isn't microwave safe (and please, do check before you start) then you will need to pour the milk into a microwave safe container for heating. Alternatively, you can heat the milk in a pan on the stove.

4 | Crumble your Malteasers
Whilst the milk is heating, it is a good idea to prepare your Malteasers, ready for adding at the end. Add around five or six Malteasers into a sandwhich bag, and mash the Malteasers. For this, you can simply use your fist, or a utensil of your choice, eg - a spoon. I used my hand. Continue to mash them until you achieve an adequate amount of crumbled Malteasers.

5 | Add the Hot Chocolate mix
This Malteaser mix is available at most supermarkets - I picked mine up from Asda. Add a few table spoons of the mixture (add it gradually until you achieve the desired taste) and mix it in well.

6 | Add whipped cream
Take your whipped cream, and add it to the top of your hot chocolate. Swirl as much of it on as you would like, fitting to your personal preferences.

7 | Add your crumbled Malteasers to the top.
To finish, sprinkle your crumbled Malteasers on to your whipped cream.

8 | Sit back, relax, amd enjoy your tasty Malteaser treat!

Yummy! I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and hopefully many of you will try out this recipe at home. If so, tweet me pictures @molliejessblog. I would love to see! Thank you for reading!
